Growing together in Merri-bek. We manage eight community kindergartens with care and purpose.

Our teaching teams plan incursions, excursions and community and nature walks that help children explore their neighbourhood and connect with the world around them. Our Reconciliation Action Plan guides our commitment to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in meaningful, respectful ways.

Our volunteer Board sets MEYM's strategic direction and oversees governance, quality and financial stewardship on behalf of the families and communities we serve.
Shanna Whitelaw
General Manager
Shanna leads MEYM as General Manager, championing high quality early learning and supporting our teams across all eight kindergartens.
Area Manager
Operational Leadership
Our Area Manager works closely with Service Leaders to support day to day operations, staffing and family engagement across our services.
Practice & Pedagogy Manager
Quality & Learning
Our Practice and Pedagogy Manager guides curriculum, professional learning and quality improvement, ensuring our programs reflect the VEYLDF and current research.

Your First Point of Contact
Every kindergarten has a dedicated Service Leader. They are your first point of contact for questions, concerns or support throughout the year.
Enrolments Officer
Family Support
Our Enrolments Officer manages offers, paperwork and orientation, so families have a clear, supported path from first enquiry through to your child's first day.
Our Commitment to Quality
MEYM operates under the National Quality Framework, the national standard for early childhood education and care across Australia. Each of our kindergartens participates in the Department of Education's Assessment and Rating process, and our teams engage in ongoing reflection, professional learning and quality improvement so that we continue to meet and strive to exceed the National Quality Standard.
